From Excel to an executive-ready resilience view

Start with the supplier, contract and process data you already manage in Excel. SupplyVisual imports it, automatically maps the relationships across tiers, and draws your supplier ecosystem as an interactive network. Then explore concentration, continuity and critical-service risk — and export the result as editable PowerPoint shapes, Excel, PDF, Visio or a read-only interactive viewer.

  • A risk score you can actually defend

    Every supplier gets a 0–100 risk score built from the factors that genuinely drive third-party risk: criticality, substitutability, exit plan, audit right, notice period, penalty clause, contract expiry, country and concentration. The weightings are yours to set — adjust them to your own risk appetite. Then open Explain this to me on any supplier and the app writes out, from your live settings, exactly which factors produced that number and what each one contributed. The model version is recorded inside the saved file, so a score from six months ago can still be reconstructed and explained. No black box to defend in front of a board or an auditor.

  • Multi-tier network visualisation

    Map suppliers, partners, systems and dependencies across Tier 0 through Tier 4. A sector-based ring layout with BFS-assigned tiers and barycenter-optimised ordering keeps the structure readable at any scale.

  • Dynamic 2D and 3D visualisation

    High-performance Canvas-based 2D and Three.js-powered WebGL 3D rendering. Rotate, zoom, present from any angle — and export the 3D view as a slide or GLTF model.

  • Search, filter, cluster & spotlight

    Advanced search, filtering, clustering and spotlight functionality. Filter by tier, sector, process, or criticality — critical or important, non-critical, other. The process filter centres the view automatically on the visible nodes.

  • Risk heatmaps & concentration analysis

    Surface critical suppliers, country concentration, sector exposure, and shared dependencies. Make hidden risks visible before the audit — or before they fail.

  • Make a business process your lens

    Pick one business function — payments, claims handling, trading — and the entire application narrows to that chain. Canvas, heatmap, geographic map and contract list all follow: only the suppliers that function actually depends on, across every tier. That is the difference between a list of vendors and an answer to "what breaks if this fails?" — and you can compare one function against the whole portfolio in the same view.

  • LEI validation

    One-click LEI validation via the GLEIF API. Auto-fill ultimate parent name and LEI, and walk the ownership chain upwards with flags, status, and add-to-model buttons.

  • Contract Registry

    A dedicated registry of every contract across every connection — supplier pair, reference, expiry with traffic-light status, auto-renewal flag, notice period, ICT service category, and annual cost. Plus the terms that decide how bad it gets if things go wrong: exit plan, substitutability, audit right and penalty clause. Those same fields feed the risk score.

  • Node Browser

    A full-screen overlay of every node as a rich card — independent of the canvas. Filter, search, and bulk-assign processes or sector to multiple nodes at once. Ideal for cleaning up freshly imported registers.

  • Focus mode

    Isolate a single branch and everything else falls away, so a crowded network becomes one readable chain. Shared suppliers automatically reposition to the circular average of their parents. Escape returns to the full network.

  • Multi-select & bulk operations

    Shift-drag a rubber-band lasso to select. Shift-click to toggle. Bulk delete with the FAB button or Delete key — with a live counter. The camera auto-frames the selection.

  • Collapse subtree & fit

    Right-click any node to collapse its descendants behind a count badge — collapsed branches survive filter changes. One click on ⛶ Fit re-lays out the network and frames everything back on screen with a smooth spring animation.

  • Node sizing & auto-layout

    Give every supplier a size from 1 to 10 to signal its weight, and scale them all at once with a global slider. Ring radii expand automatically to prevent overlap; label font auto-fits the largest readable size.

  • Your own document format

    Work the way you work in any desktop application: Open, Save and Save As on a real .spv document, autosave in the background, a storage indicator that tells you where you stand, and a changelog of what changed this session. 30 levels of undo and redo (Ctrl+Z, Ctrl+Y); Ctrl+S saves the document.

  • Excel import that explains itself

    Bring your existing supplier, contract and risk data in through a workbook with a Suppliers sheet plus connections and processes — and an Instructions tab that describes every single field: what it means, what it does to the visual, and whether it is required. Dropdowns keep the values clean at the source. Bulk-edit operations make large datasets manageable.

  • Multi-format export

    Export to Excel (full model or verification report), PowerPoint (native editable shapes, 2D and 3D), vector PDF, GLTF 3D model, Visio, and a self-contained interactive HTML model with logos and contracts embedded.

  • Geographic risk — HQ vs. where your data sits

    Put your suppliers on a world map and flip between two questions most tools conflate: where is this company registered, and where is our data actually stored? A supplier headquartered down the road can still hold your data three jurisdictions away. Compare the map for one process against the map for your whole portfolio and the outliers announce themselves.

  • iPad & Apple Pencil In development

    Take the live model into the room. Draw straight over the network with Apple Pencil — arrows, circles, the change someone just proposed — and the annotations save with the model rather than getting lost on a whiteboard. Double-tap the Pencil to jump into the edit panel. Built for workshops and board sessions, not just for the desk. The iPad edition has not been released yet.

  • Data quality dashboard

    After an import, the honest question is how good the data really is. A completeness score per field shows exactly where the gaps are, and an unconnected-nodes view catches every supplier that came in without a relationship attached. Clean up the import before you build an analysis on top of it.

  • Intragroup mode

    Entities inside your own group are a different kind of dependency from an external vendor. Model them as such, keep them collapsed by default so they don't crowd the picture, and expand or export the underlying nodes when someone asks.

  • Guided tour & built-in manual

    A guided tour on first run, a searchable manual inside the application, and a PDF handbook when you want to read away from the screen. Nobody has to book training or wait for onboarding — which is what "no IT project required" has to mean in practice.

  • Keyboard-first workflow
